A woman is sitting motionless. His feeble gestures cross a path that marks the traces of a universe suspended between reality and dream, along a story that digs into the memory of the fairytale, evoking symbols and images where light and dark play a protagonist role. His story is a noir tale of growth, homage of doubt and uncertainty, in which the essentiality of the gesture and a few pastel colors prevails, in which everything is precarious: weight, balance, risk, dualistic conflict and the ineluctable desire for an unreachable unitary harmony.

As in every fairy tale of growth, the narration insists and returns on the dynamics generated by the demand and the desire for balance in the face of the obstacle, the test to be overcome, the safe place and the order to be conquered: abandoning the presumed certainty of a center , the story launches into the precariousness of the motion, in the search for a temporary safe place, a plausible order, to finally return to us the only possible certainty: that nothing ever remains equal to itself and that the condition of question is the only one way for growth, change, discovery.

(...) Oltremai di Lucrezia Maimone, ha l’aria e il profumo di una favola, e della fiaba possiede i tratti fantasiosi conditi da risvolti cupi, inquietanti e fatali. Una donna con una lunga treccia e un lungo vestito verde danza con le movenze di un automa meccanico da racconto di Hoffmann o Edgar Alla Poe. I libri si spargono nello spazio, vengono aperti e come scatole a sorpresa rilasciano immagini in movimento che si snocciolano con grazia e una certa ironia. Una danza giocosa e seria insieme, evocativa e intensa in perpetua relazione con quei grossi volumi che pesano, gravano eppure elevano e spingono.

(...) Libri che costruiscono fantasie controverse come buchi luminosi nel buio, ma capaci allo stesso modo di risucchiarla. Ella li combatte facendo leva sul suo corpo generoso e atletico. Muro in verticale sulle braccia, ellisse d’aria nelle giravolte in avanti e all’indietro su un braccio, spazialità estesa e nervosa nella spaccata. Accade che una figura in apparenza placida e remissiva lasci spazio a un conscio ardore. La Maimone riproduce un universo d’immagini emotività e percezioni, calato nel teatro più puro.
